sadly, there are pretty much none haha. for a good amount of time this year, I was without a camera. Lost it and it took a while to find it. I’ve been taking a lot of pictures lately and i think tomorrow i’ll put up the pictures from Denver…
probably not post worthy, but figured i’d give the site an update - it needs one like always
I just found out that The Mars Volta album “De-Loused In The Comatorium” is based on a book that the lead singer wrote. I’m reading it now, and it does not make any sense. I try to read it, but after each page - “what the hell…….”
If you’ve never listened to The Mars Volta, check this song out: Eria Tarka
(impressive, eh? yeah, thats what happens when you listen to too much crap radio music)
Although De-Loused is just bizarre, TMV in general is more experimental than any band I’ve heard. Half of their songs are in spanish - tell me that isn’t nice. Everything is indirect, and it seems like they are telling stories more than anything else.
“It is rare within music that a band recognizes the past and refuses to ignore it… not with nostalgia, but with their own inventiveness. A band that is more interested in creating moments than creating hits.”
-Zack de la Rocha (Rage Against the Machine)
